The unclued answers (all in Chambers) are linked by a common theme which must be discovered. Competitors should submit a normal cryptic clue to 18 Down, including in their clue a word of their own choice which links it with the other theme words.

Solution note: Theme words contain, consecutively, three consecutive letters of the alphabet, a different three letters in each case. Competition clues all contain one such word.
