Four themewords form a modern literary group. Each of them has two variations connected to it in the same way, though the nature of the connection differs in each set of variations. The variations on theme-word A (also itinerary) are somewhat obscure, sadistically so.

Competitors should submit with their solutions a Christmas card jingle or cracker motto in prose or verse such as might appropriately be sent to Group B (themeword and variations).
