COMMENTS.—295 correct: of these only very few failed at the quotation and about 20 violated the conditions, e.g. by writing clues to words with more than 12 letters, to words contained in “adding,” or to “adding” itself. There were not many incorrect solutions. The judging was complicated by the choice of words available, but I had no doubt as to the clue I liked best: the only trouble was that there were four of it! I cannot separate them and the prizes are divided.
